Well, I have read about this in the local newspaper a few days back, and think would like to post about it here. Will not say much about it, but rather let all of you judge about it… but please no offensive comments…

Taken from 1malaysia.com.my, here are 10 of the ethics in blogging:

Be honest and fair in gathering, reporting and interpreting information
Never plagiarise
Identify and link to sources whenever feasible
Never publish information they know is inaccurate – and if publishing questionable information, make it clear it’s in doubt
Distinguish between advocacy, commentary and factual information
Admit mistakes and correct them promptly
Show good taste. Avoid pandering to lurid curiosity
Explain each blog’s mission and invite dialogue with the public over its content and the bloggers’ conduct
Disclose conflicts of interest, affiliations, activities and personal agendas
Abide by the same high standards to which they hold others

Standard Chartered has signed a 4 years deal to become new lead sponsors of Liverpool Football Club who is known as big four in the English Premier League or also known as BPL. The Standard Chartered logo will be emblazoned across the front of every Liverpool jersey & t-shirt. It is believed that the sponsorship will starts 1st July 2010.

The reason that Standard Chartered chose to sponsor Liverpool is mainly due to the strong heritage and values which they shared together. On top of that, Liverpool is one of the successful English football club and soccer as one of the popular sport (most popular perhaps).

May this intiative by Standard Chartered will enable Liverpool in Malaysia to cheer their favorite team here in Malaysia during the Asia Tour.. not as present, which tey have to go either Singapore or Thailand to see their favorite team… Bravo Standard Chartered.

There is no secret that higher PR will get higher probability of your site/blog being top listed in the popular search engine such as Google, Yahoo, and others whenever visitors trying to find something through the web. The PR is so important that many publishers are making money by selling tips on how to increase this PR. No doubt that the secret of how the PR was judged remains unveiled, but here are some of the tips that may be useful for us to consider when publishing our post in the site/blog.

Effort: This is the first thing that you should consider. Getting great tips without good effort will get you nowhere. So, give your best effort on your site/blog. There is no quick way of getting a higher PR, or are there? If do, please share it with others.
Domain Name: The domain name is very important. Choosing the right keywords for the name will boost your PR whenever visitors searching for the relevant topic. Despite of that, such unique name will attract loyal visitors, hence will increase your traffic genuinely. Remember to use a unique, easy to remember, and reliable keyword when choosing your domain name.
Title tag: Believe it or not, Google spiders are very active on this title tag. They consider the title tag as the most pertinent part a site/blog. Again, make a unique, accurate, efficient, reminiscent enough title tag so that these spiders really enjoy your site/blog.
Content: Producing a good content will not only attract spiders but also will attract loyal readers (will automatically increase your traffic). Post a relevant, exciting, unique and easy to understand content. Again do not forget the importance of good keywords.
Description Tag: Description Tag will show a summary keyword of your content, hence you may optionally include other keyword that might not be in your content, for example other language of the same content and others. This will also determine your search engine crawl result.
Link: To get higher PR, you should link your web/site with other related links. But be very careful with all these links, as there are what they consider as bad link which will only de-rank your original PR. Try to get link with better PR, but make sure do it correctly.
Keywords: On top of above subtopics, keywords hold the most vital part of getting higher PR. You must always be ahead on what your visitors are looking for in the search engine. Guess the best keyword and put them in your domain name, title tag, content and description tag. But is it enough to guess the right keyword to get higher PR. Guess it right, but preferably use a unique, very seldom used by other site/blog, as regular keyword will not differentiate you from others, yet will not increase your PR.
